Relationships Of The Black Rhino:
There are only 3 types of symbiotic relationships. The commensalism relationship, the mutualism relationship, and the parasitism relationship. The commensalism relationship is when one organism benefits and the other doesn't. The mutualism relationship is when both/all organisms benefit. The parasitism relationship is when one organism benefits and the other is harmed.
The Commensalism Relationship:
The commensalism relationships with the black rhino are a little different. In realism they are small in number. The only really one is with the black rhino and the ground under him. Other known as the earth. It supports the state of gravity for the black rhino to stand on the earth. The mutualism and parasitism relationships are the main/only relationships that the black rhino has...
The Mutualism Relationship:
The only mutualistic relationship is with the oxpecker. This organism rides on the back of the rhino. While doing so it picks off parasites on the rhino. It will also help alert the rhino by squawking and flapping it's wings. It will make loud sounds so that the rhino will start to run or defend itself with the two horns on its head. This is the only one of the specifically needed mutualism relationships with the black rhino.
The Parasitism Relationship:
The black rhino has two "parasitic relationships." The only two are the spotted hyena and the African lion. These two are predators so it really is a parasitic relationship, because one species benefits and the other is harmed. So it's just the circle of life. Nothing humans can do to take care of it...
