Food Web Explanation:
This is just a short explanation of the food web below. This food web has six major components. One energy source (sun), one primary consumer (plants/shrubs), two secondary consumers (black rhino and the lion), one tertiary consumer (human), and the decomposer (the worm). The energy flow is very simple. The sun only leads into the plants/shrubs. The plants/shrubs actually go three places. The black rhino, the human, and the worm. The black rhino also goes three places. It goes to the lion, the human, and the worm. The lion only goes to two places. It goes to the human and the worm. The human is a tertiary consumer so it only goes into the worm. The worm isn't the tertiary consumer but it still is on top. All energy goes back to the worm. As in it's name it decomposes everything, because that's it's job. Its employed by nature to eat the dead carcasses of all dead animals. You may be thinking that humans aren't animals. In fact they even have an animals type Latin name. We are all called Homo Sapiens. I hope you have actually read this "little" explanation I so "happily" wrote so you would get the food web below...
